The Osborne 940 knife designed by Warren Osborne is without a doubt one of the most popular edc knives in the world. Its success is due to its lightweight and functional design and the use of high-quality materials that guarantee durability and reliable performance.

The Benchmade 945 Mini Osborne has retained the functionality and unique style of the iconic 940 model, but with a reduction in size, it is much more comfortable and practical for everyday use.

Premium steel

The 74mm long blade is made of elite CPM-S30V stainless steel. Crucible Industries' S30V powder steel is hardened to an optimal hardness of 58-60 HRC, so it maintains high sharpness for a long time, has high mechanical strength, and is also resistant to corrosion. Thanks to its high vanadium carbide content, the steel is distinguished by its high impact and wear resistance, as well as its excellent cutting properties. The blade is coated with a layer of black Teflon, which protects the blade from minor scratches.

When choosing a hard steel knife, get a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.
Utility head

The knife has a satin-finished reverse-tanto profile blade with a pronounced false blade to reduce the weight of the head. Thanks to the use of a sturdy hilt, a high flat grind and a cutting edge with a gently rounded line, the knife penetrates easily and has good cutting properties. The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.6 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
Convenient unfolding

The blade can be instantly unfolded with one hand using a double-sided peg. Thanks to such functionality, the knife is not only ready for work in a flash, but can also be conveniently operated by both right- and left-handed people.

Benchmade's flagship mechanism, the double-sided Axis-lock, which is valued for its immense mechanical strength, dirt resistance and comfortable operation for both right- and left-handed users, is responsible for safe operation.
Lightweight aluminum handle

The knife has liners made of anodized aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, which are attached to steel liners, which are responsible for the rigidity and strength of the structure. One of the main advantages of aluminum, in addition to its strength and ability to be finely machined, is its light weight, which is inevitably linked to the comfort of carrying and using the knife. The profiled handle is wider at the base, which makes the grip of the knife comfortable and the hand will not slip on the blade while working. A treat that will please any knife enthusiast are the purple anodized spacers. The liners are complemented by a steel clip that allows you to carry the knife comfortably in your pocket or on your belt. The clip can be attached to either the left or right side of the handle.
