Description

TheBenchmade 537SGY-1 Bailout is a "black class" folding tactical knife equipped with a CPM-M4 steel tanto blade, an aluminum taper and anodized aluminum liners.

The Benchmade Bailout is distinguished by its tactical styling, which is highlighted by the distinctive shape of the head and the military color scheme of the aluminum liners. The knife has a combo head with a Japanese tanto profile, made of hard CPM-M4 tool steel.
Premium steel

CPM-M4 is a high-carbon tool steel hardened to a hardness of 62-64 HRC. It contains a high amount of molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium, making it unrivaled in sharpness retention and wear resistance. CPM-M4 is a carbon steel prone to corrosion, so be sure to properly and regularly maintain the blade.

When choosing a knife made of such a hard steel, use a diamond sharpener, which makes the sharpening process easier and faster.
Tactical blade

Thetanto blade and combo blade (partially serrated) provide easy penetration, smooth cutting and a wide range of applications. The serrated part of the blade affects faster and more efficient cutting of ropes, tapes and hard materials.

The head is coated with gray Cerakote thermosetting paint, which has high abrasion resistance and protects the steel from corrosion.
Easy unfolding

The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand, thanks to the use of a double-sided peg (made of anodized aluminum). This method allows both right- and left-handed people to open the blade comfortably and use the knife without removing gloves.
Reliable lock

The bladelock is a reliable Axis-lock, Benchmade's flagship mechanism, valued for its great resistance to stress, insensitivity to dirt and ease of use.
Lightweight liners

Theknife has liners made of green anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, which are attached to steel liners, responsible for the rigidity and strength of the structure. One of the advantages of aluminum, besides its strength and ability to be precision-machined, is its light weight, which inevitably comes with the comfort of carrying and using the knife.

The non-slip texture of the linings and the widening at the base of the handle make the knife fit securely and comfortably in the hand regardless of its size. A wide, high-set clip, with the possibility of translation (left/right), allows the knife to be carried discreetly in a pocket or tactical equipment.

The handle is finished with an aluminum insert with a carbide bolt, which acts as a glass breaker and allows you to deliver hammer blows.
